This is a bittersweet time and we’re so thankful for all of the kind words, memories shared, and sweet smiles this week. Thank you to everyone who’s written us a post card, too. We can’t wait to read them and treasure them.

Getting our milk bread loaves ready for their bake. We will have a limited amount to purchase. If you’ve never tried milk bread French toast, this is the time. They’re also the perfect bread for grilled cheese!!

One of the things I love most about food is that it has a way of bringing people to the same table, even when they don’t see the world the same way.

I’ve been wondering what it means to celebrate the Fourth of July this year. If I’m honest, it’s a little complicated.

I don’t have all the answers. But I do know that the kind of country I want to live in starts with the kind of community we create right here—with kindness, curiosity, generosity, and making sure there’s always a place at the table for someone else.

So today, that’s what I’m celebrating.

Not because everything is as it should be, but because I still believe we can make things better together.

Here’s another first for us. We’re offering Bingsu (Korean Shaved Ice) at our Pride Brunch tomorrow! With the temps pushing into the 90s come cool down with an order or two. Also on the menu…we’re bringing back the Korean BBQ burger. We’ve only had this one other time but we’re celebrating so we’re smashing burgers!

What do you do when you’re a queer-owned business, over half your team is queer, and somehow you don’t make the Pride Month lists? You throw your own gay party. 🌈

Join us this Sunday as we celebrate love, community, and all the things that make Pride worth celebrating. We’ll have a market featuring incredible queer makers and artists, plus rainbow-inspired specials from our kitchen.
